Rooster plate

I saw some plates that people had painted on but I decided to work with negative space instead.  I found an awesome $2 plate from the thrift store. I made a stencil out of contact paper and then spray painted over the whole thing, so when the contact paper was pulled away, it left the rooster shape.  I like how it turned out so I'm thinking about making others for our Christmas craft fair.

Throwback Thursday - Tshirt recon

Back in the day, when I listened to metal, I found this sweet Norma Jean shirt.  It even has glow in the dark text.  But it only came in a kids size.  Not a problem.  I cut the graphic and used another t-shirt and made the two into a tank top.  This is my first clothing project that I've sold.  Selling a piece always affirms the question in the back of my head, "Am I really an artist?"

Hoodie fix

What should have been a simple fix turned into a very long project.  My cousin from MI left his hoodie with me so I could sew closed a long hole in the front.  I could not find my bobbins anywhere!  Eventually I found a new, unopened package but I have yet to find the elusive pre-wound bobbins.  Now that his hoodie is fixed, I'm holding it prisoner so he has to come visit again.
